Umurbey is a brand that may be one of the oldest companies in wine sector of Turkey. My first tasting experience about Umurbey wines was in Bodrum wine tasting days’. But this time, I got more chances to taste and take information about the story of the company.
I had 5 tastings of Umurbey’s products:
-White- Sauvignon Blanc 2010, fresh and citron aroma with balanced body.
-Rose- Blend Rose and Shiraz & Merlot 2011, light somon color, red fruits taste, lively body.
-Red- Merlot 2009, dark bordo color, black fruits taste on mouth, soft and easy to drink
Cabarnet Sauvignon & Merlot 2008, this 6 month oak waited, vanilia and light spicy taste. Fresh and balanced body (my recommendation).
Cabarnet Sauvignon 2009, 6 month oak waited, clear taste of cinnamon and red fruits.
