Montalcino has so many treasures about wine. Caparzo was definitely one of them.
A group of friends purchased an old ruin with vineyards at Montalcino end of the sixties when the association of Brunello has just been set up and the producers-bottlers are only 13. They renovated the farm estate and planted new vineyards. In a short time, Caparzo was able to impose itself on the market of Brunello.
In 1998 which means around thirty years after, Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini purchased Caparzo. She aimed to combine tradition with innovation to create a high-quality wine and what we drink now is Caparzo came to these days.
Caparzo has also farm holiday center “Podere La Casa” where has absolutely full of peace and joy. Villa is located on top of the hill and amazing view of Montalcino town far up. Enjoying the pool of the Villa which is next to Sangiovese vines and sip of Caparzo wines there is more than enough to be as a reason to visit. I hope to visit them again very soon…
